Job Profile for Language Lab Expert:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Language Lab Expert to manage and enhance the functionality of our language lab. The ideal candidate will support students in improving their language proficiency, design effective language learning strategies and ensure the lab operates smoothly with the latest technology and methodologies.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Science, technology or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing language labs or teaching with technology.
• Hands-on experience with language learning software, tools and multimedia resources.
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with language lab systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Oversee the functioning of the language lab, ensuring all equipment and software are operational and up to date.
• Conduct interactive lab sessions, guide students in using language learning tools and assist in improving their proficiency in targeted languages.
• Create, update and maintain digital language learning materials including exercises, audio-visual aids and interactive content.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate maintenance of lab systems and train users on effective utilization of lab technologies.
• Work with language instructors to align lab activities with academic goals and support curriculum implementation.
• Track student progress, provide performance feedback and maintain detailed records of lab usage and outcomes.
• Research and recommend new language learning tools, software, and methodologies to improve the lab's effectiveness.

Additional Responsibilities:

This includes but not limited to the following:

• Generally aware of best practices and business/industry trends.
• Participate in VC/audio calls along with your manager and record the minutes as required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of modern language acquisition techniques.
• Experience in curriculum design for technology-assisted learning.
