Job Profile for Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager
(Projects & Infrastructure)
We are looking for a highly capable senior civil engineer/ project manager (projects & infrastructure) to manage our construction projects. You will be conducting land surveys, allocating resources, supervising multidisciplinary construction teams and inspecting completed construction projects. The senior engineer (civil) will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, quality standards and safety protocols. The role involves end-toend project management from planning and design to execution and closure while liaising with stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively.
Qualification & Experience:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture or related field with more than 15 years of experience.
- Proven track record of success in managing, planning, developing designing, executing and supervising construction projects for public and private sectors, including mixed used, residential, commercial sites, hospitality and industrial structures.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality management systems, project management tools, cost estimation and quantity surveying.
- Understanding of contract laws, claims and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Flexible working hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Plan, manage and organize overall activities in centralized organization. Instrumental in pre and post contracts works, floating the tenders, reviewing the tenderers clarification, responding as needed, tender technical and commercial evaluation, technical and commercial negotiations awarding the contracts in line with client requirements and initial the project kick off's.
- Instrumental in post - contracts works, reviewing the project management plan, managing stakeholders, baseline programme verses construction progress, managing SPI, CPI & KPI.
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Manage pre- and post-contract activities, including tendering, technical and commercial evaluations, contract negotiations and claims management.
- Monitor construction sites to ensure safety, compliance and quality control, addressing any issues promptly to maintain progress and standards.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and optimize resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently.
- Prepare and present progress reports, analyze performance metrics (SPI, CPI, KPI) and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Ensure efficient allocation, utilization, and maintenance of construction equipment to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
- Oversee logistics and supply chain management to streamline material and equipment delivery, ensuring project timelines are met without cost overruns.
