Job Summary for Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and execution of the NABARD-supported government project. The position will involve coordination with government departments, NABARD officials, field teams, implementing agencies, beneficiaries and other project stakeholders to ensure timely and effective achievement of project objectives. The Project Manager will serve as the overall execution lead and will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are implemented in accordance with the approved project plan, timelines, budgets, guidelines and reporting requirements.

  • Project Duration: 28 months
  • Remuneration: ₹1,00,000/- per month
Educational Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree (M.B.A.) from a recognized university/institution.
  • Candidates with additional qualifications or training in Agriculture, Rural Development, Agribusiness, Development Studies, Project Management or allied fields will be preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 05 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in the Agriculture/Rural Development sector is mandatory.
  • Experience in handling government, NABARD, agriculture, rural development, livelihood, FPO, farmer-centric or development-sector projects will be preferred.
  • Experience in project coordination, field implementation, stakeholder management, monitoring and reporting will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the overall execution and implementation of the project, ensuring timely achievement of project objectives, milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop project work plans, activity schedules, and implementation strategies, and monitor progress against approved timelines and targets.
  • Coordinate with NABARD, government departments, district authorities, implementing agencies, farmers, FPOs and other project stakeholders.
  • Supervise field-level agriculture and rural development activities through regular field visits and ensure effective implementation.
  • Lead and supervise project staff and field teams, allocate responsibilities, and ensure efficient utilization of project resources.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, MIS, presentations, monitoring reports and other project-related documentation as required.
  • Monitor project expenditure, ensure proper utilization of funds, maintain project records, and ensure compliance with NABARD and government guidelines.
